"I want to grow old without facelifts...".
Me as a brunette [06 Jan 2005|03:20pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

Well I finally have pictures of me with my new hair color. These are from New Years.

"I want to grow old without facelifts...".
Hi. I'm Fran.... [20 Dec 2004|07:02pm]
[ mood | nauseated ]

Fran: Mr Sheffield I know that I am not crazy, that King was coming on to me.
Max: Well of course he was Miss Fine, of course he was. Anyone could see he was smitten with you.
Fran: Wasn't he?
Max: Of course he was. He's a man, and unfortunately some men are just not very good at expressing their feelings. Well, I could see right through that sultan, ah yes, you would start as his nanny alright. You would start working with him for a few years, and eventually be on a first name basis. And then one day he would come to realize you were more important to him than his work, and then, ha, then he'd tell you he loves you.
Fran: And when does that happen?
Max: Right now.. I love you.
Fran: What?
Max: Fran, I love you.

Fran: Look Mr. Sheffield, ya know I always thought that we were gonna end up together, but if it ain't gonna happen now, it ain't gonna happen.

Max: I didn't say it'll never happen.
Fran: Well, I think my chances are only going to decrease as I slowly morph into Yetta.

Hi I'm Sally.... [12 Dec 2004|09:27pm]
Harry Burns: No man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her.
Sally Albright: So, you're saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?
Harry Burns: No. You pretty much want to nail 'em too.
Sally Albright: What if THEY don't want to have sex with YOU?
Harry Burns: Doesn't matter because the sex thing is already out there so the friendship is ultimately doomed and that is the end of the story.
Sally Albright: Well, I guess we're not going to be friends then.
Harry Burns: I guess not.
Sally Albright: That's too bad. You were the only person I knew in New York.

I might've found a Harry...

1 Facelift - "I want to grow old without facelifts...".
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! [03 Dec 2004|04:58pm]
[ mood | grateful ]

I've got a HUGE favor!!! Can you study my designs and answer the following four questions? It's for my fashion class. This is my final. So please help me! Please!

Notes on clothes:
* The red part of the dress is made of silk and is like a Elizabethian inspired piece.
* The man's shirt is stripped (light blue and dark blue). And the collar doesn't have to be up and the sleeves can be unrolled.
*The final woman's blouse has polka dots.

1. What do you like best about these fashions?
2. What do you like least about these fashions?
3. What could be done to improve them?
4. Would you buy these designs? Why or why not?

Thanksgiving is over [25 Nov 2004|07:37pm]
[ mood | full ]

Well I was forced to go to my grandparents house. At first it was awful. I just wanted to cry and smoke. I'm not huge on cigaretes so that feeling alone should display my disgust of going to my grandparents. I hate family get togethers and Frankie wasn't there either. Well it wasn't too bad I guess. As usual we had a family picture. And as usual my grandpa took pictures of people when they weren't willing to pose. Here's a few from today.

FUN! FUN! FUN! Till her daddy takes the t-bird away! [18 Nov 2004|08:55pm]
[ mood | giddy ]

Today was so much fun!!!!!! School kind of sucked, but what else is new. I did manage to finish my jacket today in clothing. It's about time I've only been working on it since september. Oh well.

After school was sooo much fun! Sonja and I went to MAC and bought make up. It was great. I love MAC! It's like my heaven on earth. Then we came home and put all of our make up on because we were going to my work and we wanted to look good (especially since I was planning on hooking Sonja up with Nick). Seriously, Sonja is such a doll. She is sooo sweet. And she gave me the nicest compliments I've ever heard. I love Sonja! She's great. I'm sharing my husband with her.

I've never spent such a long time in my Starbucks before and didn't work. It was crazy. We talked to Jake and Nick. Bryan made me an amazing americano. It was soooo good. Jake was super sweet! I think there's a match made in heaven with 2 of the three people. Hmmm.... Nick was really weird. I want to think about it. I don't know. Strange. Sonja thought he was extremely weird and considering the fact that she hates baggy pants and hip hop, Nick and Sonja definately weren't meant to be.

After Starbucks, Sonja treated me to Chipotle. I had never been there before. OMG! I loved it! It was such a refreshing change from Rubio's all of the time.

After Chipotle's we went to Sonja's house and then to our school. We ran into our creeper photo teacher, Mr. Hudson. CREEPER!!!!!!! Anyways, we go to the theater where the art show is being held. Without my knowledge, Mr. Hudson entered a picture of my Marilyn Monroe possessions that I took and I won second place! It was such a surprise.

When the play started Sonja and I felt like the dumbest girls in the world. Frankie and I felt soo stupid during Huckabees but this play was worse. The only cool part about it was that two of the characters had the last namer Ritter.

Well now I'm home and watching "The Whole Nine Yards". XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

It's November. I'm sick. Typical. [01 Nov 2004|07:10pm]
Well I stayed home from school today, because I'm sick. Of course I was really sick last November too so being sick in November is typical for me. I worked on a paper for my fashion class and I watched "The Talented Mr.Ripley" It was good yet creepy and it made me think of life and death and happiness and sorrow. Basically, it was deep. I didn't like Jude Law being killed, but it was just a character so....

Last night was Halloween. Frankie and I dressed as Jessica Simpson and Marilyn Monroe. We looked hot. Frankie gave me the best presents too! I got "The Talented Mr.Ripley", Dr.Christian Troy underwear, a cute collage on canvas, a card to CoffeeBean, a 2-in-1 candle, candy corn lipgloss and lots of candy! It was awesome! We went to the Hotel Del. I've never been there before. Seriously, I had like the best pizza ever that night. Too bad the night ended with me being sick :( Oh well. Next year I'll be in London and it'll be great!

Well that's all for now. Hopefully I'll be feeling better! XOXOXOXOXOXO!

This weekend will be awesome!

I'm watching TCM'S Musical Madness. Some movie with Peter Lawford is on. He's part of the group to murder Marilyn. Creep.

I am totally and uncontrolably OBSESSED with old movies.
Today I watched "Bus Stop" with the celebrity of my life, Marilyn Monroe.
I am currently watching "That's Entertainemt" on TCM.
I had such an awful day earlier yet these movies make all of the sorrow fade away.
I love old movies!

Men and Women Can't be Friends [03 Oct 2004|09:22pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

Harry Burns : You realize of course that we could never be friends.
Sally Albright : Why not?
Harry Burns : What I'm saying is - and this is not a come-on in any way, shape or form - is that men and women can't be friends because the sex part always gets in the way.
Sally Albright : That's not true. I have a number of men friends and there is no sex involved.
Harry Burns : No you don't.
Sally Albright : Yes I do.
Harry Burns : No you don't.
Sally Albright : Yes I do.
Harry Burns : You only think you do.
Sally Albright : You say I'm having sex with these men without my knowledge?
Harry Burns : No, what I'm saying is they all WANT to have sex with you.
Sally Albright : They do not.
Harry Burns : Do too.
Sally Albright : They do not.
Harry Burns : Do too.
Sally Albright : How do you know?
Harry Burns : Because no man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her.
Sally Albright : So, you're saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?
Harry Burns : No. You pretty much want to nail 'em too.
Sally Albright : What if THEY don't want to have sex with YOU?
Harry Burns : Doesn't matter because the sex thing is already out there so the friendship is ultimately doomed and that is the end of the story.
Sally Albright : Well, I guess we're not going to be friends then.
Harry Burns : I guess not.
Sally Albright : That's too bad. You were the only person I knew in New York.

************************************************************************************

Sally Albright : I thought you didn't believe men and women could be friends.
Harry Burns : When did I say that?
Sally Albright : On the ride to New York.
Harry Burns : No, no, no, I never said that... Yes, that's right, they can't be friends. Unless both of them are involved with other people, then they can... This is an amendment to the earlier rule. If the two people are in relationships, the pressure of possible involvement is lifted... That doesn't work either, because what happens then is, the person you're involved with can't understand why you need to be friends with the person you're just friends with. Like it means something is missing from the relationship and why do you have to go outside to get it? And when you say "No, no, no it's not true, nothing is missing from the relationship," the person you're involved with then accuses you of being secretly attracted to the person you're just friends with, which you probably are. I mean, come on, who the hell are we kidding, let's face it. Which brings us back to the earlier rule before the amendment, which is men and women can't be friends.

"I want to grow old without facelifts...".
Well it's been a long, long day [02 Oct 2004|10:52pm]
[ mood | loved ]

Last night, I was determined to stay home. As soon as I got home from school I took off ALL of my make up and got in my pjs. My plans for the night? Marilyn Monroe Movie Marathon. NICE! Anyways, plans changed around 7 when Frankie and I found ourselves getting ready to go out to Tommy V's. I love that place! Best calamari! Best bread! Best chocolate lava cake! And best waiters! I highly reccommend it. Having said that, I can go on. Frankie and I got home kind of late and full and we watched "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" before saying a prayer and going to bed.

Today was so long. I woke up at like 7:30 this morning. I watched "Three's Company" for awhile and then went shopping with my mom and Chris for Chris' homecoming dress (what has happened to my sister!?) Anyways, I got home. Ate a lot and went to work.

This has got to be one of the best work nights ever. Yes, it was long and slow, but I've never felt so accepted before tonight. Even at the movie theater, there was a time that I wasn't truly a part of the group and tonight I have crossed the bridge at Starbucks. Working there is so natural for me and I can honestly say that even though I hate to work I truly love my job and all of the people there. Brian, who of course was doing his homework, brought me a copy of The Polyphonic Spree's album. It's awesome (I'm listening to it right now) and I was surprised Brian remembered to make me a copy. I talked a lot more with Shannon then I used to too. But the best part of the night was when I found a card that Shannon and Lorraine left me, thanking me for my hard work. Attached to the card was a Mug Award. It's so cute and truly means a lot to me.

I cannot wait for days to go by. I'll be at work all day tommorrow but then I don't work again till Friday. It's Brian's birthday so I promised him a cake, since he's working on his birthday. Hahaha. I'll probably bring him a card and balloons too. I love birthdays and he was telling me that no one celebrates his birthday anymore. Brian's cool, he promised to visit me in London when I move, and honestly I really believe him. I love the people at my store.

Well this has been really long and I'm going to leave now so I can watch "Three's Company". Goodnight and God Bless! XOXOXOXO
